Your local electronics store has just started selling time machines, anywhere doors, and invisibility helmets. You can only afford one. Which of these do you buy, and why?

I attended my grandson’s Social Studies Fair last evening. Each child picked a state of the United States and set up a display. They provided information about that particular state. This post would have been right down an 11 year old’s alley.

“Say, lad, I see you picked Virginia as your state. Can you provide me some interesting facts about your chosen state?”

“What would you like to know about Virginia, kindly old gentleman.”

“I’m sure you have much to tell me and many memorized facts, but let’s try out your imagination and creative thinking. Let’s say you go to Virginia’s capitol, which is?”

“Richmond.”

“Very good. You go to a local electronics store that has just started selling time machines, anywhere doors, and invisibility helmets. You can only afford one. Which of these do you buy, and why?”

“That’s fourth grade stuff.”

Here his my short story for the day Romancing Ted – Part 2 – Lisa Remembered.
