The Most Important Fifteen Minutes of Words

Daily Prompt: Fifteen Minutes

You have 15 minutes to address the whole world live (on television or radio — choose your format). What would you say?

Most likely I would choose to read the 5th, 6th, and 7th chapter of Matthew from the Bible using an up to date translation so it could be easily understood. At the same time it would be translated so everyone could understand.

In fact, someone else could read it in order for me to listen.

Within those writings are the most important teachings one can apply to their lives. If applied with earnestness a person could live a happy joyful productive life full of meaning, rewards, and blessings.

There are no other teachings that are more needed nor more simply and concisely expressed.

  1. Could not agree more. I re-read the Sermon once or twice a year with more heartfelt determination to actually do better to live up to the Author’s perfect instruction. My life would have been so much better if I had implemented its ideals more consistently. Will keep trying.

Blather away, if you like.
