I Should Have Posted Yesterday And Other Things.

Daily Prompt: Shoulda Woulda Coulda

Tell us about something you know you should do . . . but don’t.

My son runs and enjoys it. I have an old friend from my high school days who runs and enjoys it. Last May I started running and enjoyed it. A month into running gout invaded by system. It took nearly two months for a proper diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

In the mean time I have not done any sort of exercise. I should have, I would have, and I could have.

This week my wife entered the hospital to have a knee replaced. The day before was spent rushing around for a couple of hours obtaining things she needed to aid her recovery. I was exhausted. The last few days at the hospital have been physically taxing on me.

I know, I could use the excuse of being old, but I won’t afford my self an easy out. For crying-out-loud; I don’t do anything. Anything and everything is exhausting to me.

Today is the day something should be done, starting with a little time on the stationary bike.

I’ll be back to finish.

Well, two miles on the bike and my Daily Prompt from yesterday is complete.



  1. Here’s your hot tip of the day for gout. Ready? Cherries. According to a knowledgeable naturalist I know, cherries are a very effective natural preventative. You needn’t get fresh ones, dried will do. And they are absolutely delicious. And well done on your bike!
